Well, summer is in full gear and boy it’s hot here in Arizona!
This summer has been a little challenging for me in trying to find activities, affordable camps, etc to get both my boys involved in and out of this 100 plus degrees heat. There are more activities available for Connor my 4 1/2year old than for 2 1/2 year old Bryce. Each day I try to plan out my day with them…balancing my work with my husband’s schedule and trying to satisfy the boys’ strong appetite for fun and adventure!
As I was midway through…well almost done…with writing this week’s blog, I felt the Lord pushing me in another direction…to spend as much time as I can with my 2 little boys.
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6 KJB
Just maybe there is a reason why I haven’t gotten my boys involved in various activities and camps this summer…and just maybe the Lord is orchestrating this time for me to spend with them… above and beyond my passion and love for writing the weekly devotions.
You see both boys will be beginning school in August part-time …Connor will be in Pre- Kindergarten and Bryce will be in preschool.
Through careful consideration and prayer, I have decided to take the month of July off from writing new weekly devotionals so I can pour into my boys and spend as much time with them as I can before they begin school.
Some of you may know that I absolutely love writing the weekly devotions… but you may not know that they certainly don’t come easy for me…from choosing the topics… to researching scriptures… to trying to share God’s word in such a way that my readers are engaged, encouraged, enlightened, and equipped.
And by the way, I have so appreciated all the positive feedback I have received from many of you! It has really blessed and encouraged me…more than you know.
This was a very difficult decision for me as I am very passionate about the blog. Although I feel that I would be letting all my readers and supporters down, I feel this is the right decision.
Beginning next week and throughout July, I will be re-posting some of my previous blogs…some of which you may not have read… and I will resume with new weekly devotions in August. I thank you all again for subscribing and hope that you will continue to be encouraged each week!
Much Love and Blessings,
Taleen
Great decision! I completely support you and totally understand. Even though the blog is your passion, it is a job and most people take “summer vacations!” Enjoy the boys T, they grow up way too fast and before you know it they will be in college. LOL
Love you!
Wise choice!!!!!!:-) XO

Dear Taleen,
Thank you so very much for all of the time you are going to share with Connor and Bryce. The time you give to them they will always remember. We can never give them more time once they return to God.
Love and Prayers,
Grandma Pat
